Gayatri anticorrosive lining offers corrosion-proof standard silicate cement named k-silicate gayrex. This is developed to solve corrosion involving oxidising acids. It finds its application for the construction of chimneys, incinerators, rosters and other high temperature equipments because it can resists high temperatures and highly concentrated solutions. It cannot be used in water, alkalis dilute acids solutions and extreme tribunal conditions due to its high porosity and relatively low strength. Gayrex is very effective where concentrated sulphuric and nitric acids are used. It can be used in laying of acid proof bricks, tiles and redmandana stone bedding mortar for the construction of acid resistant tank linings, flooring, drains, etc.
